Accessibility Statement
Legal Basis
As the website operators, we aim to design the website in accordance with the relevant accessibility regulations. We are subject to the following legislation: the Thuringian Act on Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Bodies (ThürBarrWebG).
The accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.thueringerschloesser.de
Status of compliance with the requirements
This website is partially compliant with the accessibility guidelines that apply to us. This accessibility statement is based on a self-assessment carried out using the WCAG test and an editorial review of the content.
The compliance check was carried out on 14 February 2026.
Verified accessibility
The website has been assessed for accessibility and largely complies with the following standards:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG)
- BITV 2.0
Any discrepancies are listed under the following headings: ‘Incomplete accessibility design’ and ‘Existing shortcomings and areas for improvement’
Incomplete accessible design
The content listed below is not, or not fully, compliant with the relevant statutory provisions on accessibility:
- Video recordings are currently still being published without subtitles. They are available without audio description or full-text alternatives.
- Brochures and forms in PDF format are not currently accessible. They will be produced in an accessible version or replaced by an accessible version as soon as one becomes available.
- The colour scheme used for content areas and control elements does not, in some cases, meet the requirements for contrast ratios. We are working to optimise this so that content can be quickly understood and easily read.
Remaining shortcomings and areas for improvement
There are still a few isolated issues regarding the content and technical aspects outlined below. A number of editorial changes are already planned to improve accessibility. The following measures will be taken to ensure full compliance with accessibility requirements:
- Foreign words and abbreviations are changed wherever possible
- Older PDF and MS Office documents are being improved
- Link texts are expanded to provide more meaningful information
- Title and alt tags do not always meet the required standards (text length, missing or duplicate tags)
- Semantic structures within the content area (headings/text) are checked and corrected
- Images are provided with alternative text
We intend to implement the measures mentioned within the foreseeable future. New page content will be checked for accessibility by the editorial team prior to publication.
