The Thuringian Castles and Gardens Foundation covers all areas of responsibility associated with the state administration of castles. It bears responsibility for the conservation of the cultural monuments entrusted to it, including both the buildings and the historic gardens; it ensures their management and administration; and it is tasked with promoting the sites and communicating the associated information. This gives rise to key areas of focus, some of which are supported by funding from the federal and state governments.
